Thomas Christoph Walliser (* April 17, 1568, † April 27, 1648), respectively in Strasbourg was a Renaissance composer from Alsace. He studied the "sciences and liberal arts" in various places in Germany, Bohemia, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland. In 1599 he returned to his native city and was appointed ''praeceptor classicus'' and ''musicus ordinarius'' at the eighth class of the Lutheran Gymnasium and Academy (which was elevated to university status in 1621). At the ''Thomaskirche'' and ''am Münster'' he directed sacred music. In 1634 he retired as a teacher from the Gymnasium.
His motets and sacred songs for four to seven voices are well known. He also emerged as the author of numerous psalms and hymns.
