Conrad Michael Schneider, who came from Augsburg, worked as an organist and church music director at Ulm Cathedral for a considerable time until his death. He wrote a number of choral works, among which is a Passion that no longer exists, but also 6 partitas for organ and harpsichord. As was the case with so many once successful musicians, his compositions have little significance in concert programs today, although they are of considerable quality.
