Florian Hermann (* 1822; † 1892 respectively in Vilnius, Russian Empire) was a composer of German-Polish origin.
His complete works are documented by the music publisher A. Gutheil, which merged into ''Éditions Russes de Musique''. Earliest records of his musical works can be found at the music publishing house A. Büttner in St. Petersburg, which in 1879 merged with the publishing house D. Rahter in Hamburg. Hermann's active creative period as a composer extended from about 1870 to the 1890's.[3] Among Hermann's best-known compositions are "Hommage Valse, Op.21", which achieved world fame through the song ''Schwarze Augen'' (''Dark Eyes''), and "Rêverie russe, Op. 2"
