Hans Gebhard (* August 18, 1897 in Dinkelsbühl; † October 2, 1974 in Augsburg) was a German composer and music educator.
Gebhard studied composition and organ at the ''Akademie der Tonkunst'' in Munich, among others under Joseph Haas. From 1929, he worked as a school and music teacher in his hometown of Dinkelsbühl. In 1936, he went to the College of Teacher Education in Würzburg as a lecturer in music education and became municipal music director there in 1940. In management from April 1, 1942 and successor to Studienrat (Senior Teacher) Eduard Eichler, municipal music commissioner.[1] From 1949 he represented the subject of music education at the teacher training college in Lauingen (Donau). After its transfer there in 1956 as a teacher training college in Augsburg, he was appointed professor.
His works include symphonic works, requiems, a Missa Gotica, and concertos for piano and violoncello.
