Friedrich Samuel Rothenberg (* September 1, 1910 in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia; † October 15, 1997 in Korbach, Hesse) was a German Protestant theologian and composer.
Rothenberg grew up in a home that was fond of singing and was influenced by the singing movement (Walther Hensel, Fritz Jöde, Richard Gölz). He was the brother of Theophil Rothenberg.
As a congregational and "singing" pastor of the Confessing Church in Berlin, he published the songbook Das Aufgebot in 1939. After war and captivity, he was a song leader and publishing director at the YMCA in Kassel. His songbook Das junge Lied (The Young Song) from 1949 was particularly popular.
