Häser Karl (* November 11, 1809 in Amsterdam, † April 16, 1887 in Kassel) was a Dutch-German actor, singer (bass-baritone) and composer. Coming from a widespread artistic family, he made his debut as early as 1826 at a "traveling company" and first appeared in 1833 as Giacomo in 'Fra Diavolo' at the court theater in Kassel. He remained there for a total of 54 years as a very popular and highly respected singer and actor.
In addition to his stage presence, Häser also made a name for himself as a composer of songs and works for mixed and male choirs.
