Klaus Glatz was born in Breslau, Germany (modern-day Wroclaw, Poland) in 1938 and is a Protestant minister and deputy headmaster at the Werner von Siemens secondary school in Weissenburg/Bay. Music was often a way into children's hearts. According to hís own account, he plays violin, viola and various flutes "moderately" well.
His compositions are composed in his head and then at the computer, which is, together with the Capella music notation software program, a marvelous toy for him. He is retired and lives in Weissenburg where he is occasionally called back to the pulpit. Systematic theology is his special area of interest outside of music. He began composing when still in secondary school and was a "rather mediocre" organist. For him composing springs simply from "the fun of joy." If others like his music, that is reward enough for him. He asks that any mistakes be treated with generous lenience and wishes everyone to feel free to correct and use his music.
