Ludo Geloen was born in 1962 in Dikkebus, Belgium. He works as an organ professor at the conservatories in Ieper, Diksmuide and Poperinge and as organist at the O.-L.-V.-church in Ieper. He is also a carillon virtuoso, a composer and improviser.
After studies at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent and at the Royal Carillon "Jef Denyn" School he won prize after prize and performed in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Russia.
In 1997 he founded the organists' association "Organum Yprense," a non-profit organisation which furthers organ music in the western part of Flanders. Since 2001 he has been artistic director of the "Organ Circle Diksmuide."
In 1999 he recorded a CD on the three most important organs in Ieper and received for his composition "Tension and Relief" the B.A.F. Sabam Prize. He also was asked to teach organ and composition in Terneuzen and Utrecht.
Since 1998 he has performed with Koen Cosaert as the Carillon Duo "Four Fists." He is also the publisher of the cultural magazine "Het HemelBed." Since 2003 he has performed with the soprano Barbara Vandendiressche as "Duo Calliope."
