Reiner Oberbeck (1961- ) was born in Kraichtal, Germany, and studied at the Mannheim School of Music from 1983-1988, with a semester abroad at the Orff Institute in Salburg. He has taught music at the St, Paulusheim private school in Bruchsal since 1992, principally bigbands and other ensembles. He has been a church choir director since 1993 and has devoted a lot of time to klezmer music and the history of the Bruchsal Synagogue. He has set up a homepage (www.stifterhof.de) with at the moment more than 50 klezmer arrangements and similar folk music for two to three instruments with accompaniment (piano, guitar or accordion).
