Hans Werner Heymann : Invocation (Lord's Prayer) - Across The Heavens Number Three
Number three of the seven-part motet cycle De Coelo (Across the Heavens).
In the underlying Vulgate text is arrant talk - in conjunction with various central biblical themes - of “heaven” (New Latin “coelum”).
The composition was written in the pre-digital era. The FINALE-files drawn up by a professional from my handwritten score have been lost, though the exported PDF files exist.
The added MP3 files based on the analog recording of the premiere concert on 21 November 1992 in Bielefeld, Germany (St. Jodokus) by the Chamber Choir COLLEGIUM NOVUM CANTICUM (Halle, Germany on the Saale river), under the direction of Matthias Muecksch. Each of the seven motets corresponds with a single MP3 file.
