Ficklscherer, Robert 11/14/1959

Robert Ficklscherer (1959 - ) began teaching himself to play the guitar at age 14, and later took guitar and piano lessons. At age 17 he began playing in a rock band and composing music. At age 27 he began studying composition and conducting with A.P. Waldenmair. In 1985 he built himself a synthesizer and a drum computer and produced numerous techno songs with the aid of his Atari computer. In the 1990s he put together a personal computer and built himself a home recording studio, in order to produce music on his own. During this time he composed several orchestral and piano compositions. He also continued to arrange piano compositions of Schumann and Liszt for orchestra. Since 2005 several of his compositions have been performed in Germany and abroad by Markus Kreul, pianist and Maria Kavouni, guitarist to public acclaim.
