Siegfried Skielka: Siegfried Skielka was born in 1937 in Hamm, Westphalia, Germany. Many members of his family were active in instrumental and choral music, which inspired him as a child. He began learning harmonium, piano and organ at age 10, and later studied two semesters at the conservatory in Dortmund.



For eight years he directed a choir and held a volunteer position as organist. Since his retirement in 1999 he now directs a little choir again. Now that he and his wife have moved to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the beautiful landscape has inspired him to write poetry and compose music. He hopes to bring pleasure to choirs and the public in this way. He knows that he is not perfect, but it makes him happy to be creative in this way.
