Friedrich Burgmüller : Ave Maria (liturgical, Latin text) arr. by Willibald Enthaler

The ''Burgmüller Etudes'' are considered an easy preliminary to the Etudes of Carl Czerny. The title of No. 19 in A-major gave me the idea to provide this pure piano piece with romantic tonal language for the mixed choir with text and its own prelude, additional repetitions and its own ending. The dynamic indications often, but not always, follow the composer's suggestions. Without the inserted repetitions, the work would be too short for a choral performance!
Instead of the organ accompaniment, a string quintet (with double bass) is also possible and offers even more differentiated dynamics.
The tenor part can also be sung by a countertenor with a falsetto part.
