Britten, Benjamin: Lone Dog

Between the months of May 1933 and August 1934 Benjamin Britten composed a series of twelve songs with piano for children, published as Friday Afternoons, Op. 7. These were written for his brother's preparatory school at Prestatyn, where the singing classes took place on Fridays. The song Lone Dog was withdrawn from the cycle in 1936.
