Ballad

Performed by the great Count Basie Orchestra, this gentle swing ballad starring piano in the solo role features a big, dramatic climax just past the midpoint that'll be the highpoint of any concert program. Careful attention to dynamics, articulations, balance and blend is critical for best results. Rhythm section parts are partially notated with chords cued.
