Niehaus, Lennie: Mood Swings

This original for advancing groups definitely lives up to its name as it transitions through a variety of moods, swinging hard every step of the way. Adding to the appeal is an 11-bar chorale that’s played slowly and freely, followed by a jazz waltz section. As in many of Lennie’s works, this piece contains a great sax soli and a driving shout chorus. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson comes with each set.
