Funk

This tuneful funk chart for advancing groups grooves from start to finish. The title refers to the bouncy feeling of the swing 16th notes. Solid secondary lines and background figures support the catchy melody. With solo space for alto, tenor, trumpet and/or trombone, this idiomatic funk original calls for crisp, spirited articulations and careful observation of dynamic changes. There is also a fun bass solo later in the piece. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included in each set.
