Berg, Alban: Sonate

The Austrian composer Alban Berg was a pupil of Arnold Schoenberg, with whom he carried on a lifelong friendship. He was known as the first fighter for atonality. Despite that fact in his works he wanted to be part of the great Viennese traditions. Therefore he was also called a "Classical Man of Modern Music".
