Hartl, Heinrich: Galacto Burico

The title originally refers to a Greek dessert which - according to the author - is sweet, nutritious and of oriental richness. He tries to achieve this impression within the slow parts of the three-part composition by creating thick carpets of sound. Contrasting to these sections are the quick, lively ones which in their turn convey a touch of folk music due to their odd metres and syncopated rhythmic structures.
