Clash!

Generationen – Kulturen – Identitäten in der Gegenwartsmusik

Differences or even conflicts between different cultures, generations and basic aesthetic attitudes play a not inconsiderable role in almost all cultural segments today. Increasingly, this also applies to the field of contemporary music. It appears more pluralistic on the whole, but at the same time more contradictory than before - and increasingly refers to discussions of the entire culture or even to more global political questions. "Clash! Generations - Cultures - Identities in Contemporary Music »brings together lectures by Joanna Bailie, Michael Dartsch, Christian Grüny, Jörn Peter Hiekel, Johannes Kreidler, Wolfgang Lessing, Sarah Nemtsov, Sergei Newski, Rainer Nonnenmann and Amila Ramovi? at the 71st Spring Meeting held by the Institute for New Music and Music Education in Darmstadt from 5 to 8 April 2017.
