Targeting Music (Year 3)

A year-by-year series for teachers in primary schools

(age 7-8): In this fourth book of the series, the programme for Year 3 again builds upon the earlier books of the infant stage whilst increasing demands and expectations, particularly in skill acquisition. Attuned to the range of National Curriculum experiences, particular features of this book are: the progressive development of vocal and instrumental techniques, a module focusing on a structured approach to reading and writing music, knowledge and understanding of music placed in an historical context, a musical production.
