Andreas Wittkopf : Valse sentimental
Valse sentimental, although I can't remember exactly why I called it that...
The basic instrumentation of the orchestral miniatures is always the same. Only the percussion changes from time to time – but in such a way that it can be played by a single player. Here, it is omitted entirely.
Since the miniatures are adaptations of short piano pieces for piano students, a performance could encourage young people to play the piece in question before the orchestral version.
The minimum instrumentation is: Fl./Ob./Cl. (B-flat)/Bsn. // Hn. (F)/Trp. (B)/2 Tbn/Tuba // Strings (6/6/6/4/2)
Guaranteed not to contain artificial intelligence!
