Composed and premiered on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of my former school, the Tannenbusch Gymnasium in Bonn.
I took the title from the school newspaper of the same name, “Tabu.”
The theme at the beginning of the piece consists of the musical notes that appear in “Tannenbusch-Gymnasium,” namely a, e, b, s=es, c, h, and g.
