This new edition of the piano-vocal score of "Die Dreigroschenoper" is based on the critical edition of the work, edited by Stephen Hinton and Edward Harsh and published in 2000 as Series I, Volume 5 of the Kurt Weill Edition. (
) The publication of this vocal score, intended to be used with the 1928 libretto and the critical edition of the full score (and orchestra parts derived therefrom), will provide performers with all relevant musical material.
