Still Waters

The 90s have produced more projects involving duets than perhaps any other period in the varied history of Jazz. This includes a combination employing the guitar with both the contra and electric bass. Still Waters uses this combination. The musical artwork of Friesen and Illenberger is more intimate than spectacular, their sound is more smooth than complex. Occasionally this musical event is further enriched by violinist Ulrike Dinter.
