Cuel Bloo is a piece that, in the first place, is meant to be a lot of fun. The composition based upon simple motifs should be performed in triplets and sounds best when played in a relaxed yet concentrated feel. The players are at liberty to perform the outro solo freely. It might even be extended with the three accompanying voices looping, for instance, bars 68 through 71. The (Eb) soloist can apply the E minor blues scale: E G A Bb B D over the minor turnaround E- C#-7(b5) F#-7(B5) B7alt. Correspondingly, the (Bb) soloist can use the A minor blues scale: A C D Eb E G over A- F#-7(b5) B-7(b5) E7alt
