Fries, Axel: Mallet Menuets

The pieces were composed with the aim to present easy works in the classical original style instead of the usual transcriptions. They can be performed either individually or as a "suite" while the pace can be adapted to match the technical skills of the player. Axel Fries was a student of Siegfried Fink and Thomas Stiwe. He plays solo timpano at the Oldenburger Staatsorchester and gives lectures at the Hanover Conservatory for Music and Theatre.
