This is Bertold Hummel's (27.11.1925 09.08.2002) final work: popular and less known Christmas carols reduced to the basics with only one counter voice. The painter and illustrator Sepp Wurster *(18.11.1919) had been a friend to him throughout his life; and the illustrations within the book - though not created specifically for it - still reflect the innermost moods special to the songs in a wonderful way.
