Burditt, B.: Two Quicksteps
Quicksteps were one of the main forms of popular music during the 19th century in America. They were written often for special occasions or to honor special people. While they were originally composed mainly for bands, they were so popular that they were very often published in piano arrangements so they could be performed at home. Light and lively, this work gives a great taste of musical entertainment from the peaceful period between the War of 1812 and the War Between the States.
