Falls House Press presents a whimsical duet for two flutes by Gary Schocker entitled Unexpected or under a rock. It starts off playfully, dancing along with a series of trills and subito piano markings, until the end, when the players take a quick, audible breath and finish with two sixteenth notes to evoke surprise! This would make a nice, lighthearted addition to a concert program. For advanced players.
