Gorham, David: The Tightrope Walker

Suspenseful and descriptive, this accurately depicts the precarious plight of the most popular of all circus acts. This colorful performance piece for young players can be further enhanced when performed with the exuberant Step Right Up! and the mysterious The Fortune Tellers Daughter, two other works written with carnival themes. As with all Achievement Series selections, learning and performance objectives are included to make teaching the piece easier and provide a complete, self-contained educational lesson plan.
