Fleetwing is a soaring concert overture featuring shimmering ostinatos, chromatic harmonies, bold accents, and bracing grace note runs. Melodies pass fluidly between sections of the orchestra before the central development section breaks the motifs down and introduces a greater degree of part independence. The main themes then regroup and culminate in an exciting, satisfying finish.
