Spanish Fantasy for Trumpet (Cornet / Flugel Horn) or Alto Sax and Band

The legendary knight and folk hero Rodrigo D az de Vivar Campeador, the man who never lost a duel, was known as El Cid. In this work, a typically Spanish opening is followed by a slow section in which the composer refers to the Adagio by Albinoni and the slow movement from the Concierto d'Aranjuez by Joaqu n Rodrigo. Towards the end, the music becomes more upbeat - castanets are a must here! The solo part can be played by trumpet, flugelhorn, cornet or alto saxophone and is also available in a simplified version.
