Angeline Bell’s fifth Notebook for the intermediate player was inspired by her love of trees. Each of the fifteen piano solos has been named after a tree with its unique character. Many of these neoclassical style pieces have been broadcast by BBC Sounds on The Sleeping Forecast for their relaxing and dreamy nature. The book is helpful for learning technical skills such as polyrhythm, hemiola, syncopation, phrasing and dynamic balance.
