Laderman, Ezra: Violin Duets

A Set of Ten Violin Duets by the dynamic American composer Ezra Laderman dedicated to his wife Aimlee. These pieces were composed in 1998, and are miniature meditations, each composed in a single session of a day or even just afew hours. Laderman’s contemporary thirst is evident where he seeks out unusual formal structures for his compositions and, though laid out as a set of duets, they can be performed together as a vast work with a cumulativeartistic weight through the comparison and contrast of styles.
