His “Perpetuo mobile” is well-known to many violinists: Carl Bohm (1844–1920) was one of the most popular masters of German salon music, and in the late nineteenth century his catchy melodies enraptured audiences in middle-class living rooms as well as in large concert halls. The trained pianist composed over 300 works, including numerous pieces for violin and piano that are well worth discovering!
