Stefan Wagner studied church music, organ and elementary music padagogy at the conservatory in Augsburg (organ with Prof. Karl Maureen and organ improvisation with Johannes Mayr). In the years 2000 and 2001 he graduated at the 'School of Music' and at the 'University of East Anglia' in Norwich (England) with the postgraduate program in 'church music'. He recieved the title of 'Master of Music' in January 2002. His teachers in England were Anne Page (Cambridge) and Peter Aston (Norwich). From September 2000 to July 2001 he worked as an organist in Coltishall and Great Hautbois. Since 1st of August 2001 he is church musicial at St. Michael in Schwabmünchen, since 2006 also cantor of the deans office. There he is also the artistic director of international concerts. In July 2002 he received the concert diploma at the conservatory Augsburg. He held concerts in England, the Czech Republic and at the EXPO 2000 in Hannover.
