I write small cello duets for my violoncello lessons with adult beginners in order to add variety to the lessons. The available literature is often intended for children and not always motivating for adults. Furthermore, it is important to me to expand musical horizons beyond the ''classical'' literature (Lee, Kummer etc.) in various directions – last but not least taking into account rhythmical variations. It is important to me that the students and the teacher make music together with the cello as that is after all the instrument which they are to learn how to play.
