Ryan Johnson : Palms Quartet 3

An eerie lament opens the third Palms Quartet, glissandi smearing the sound. A cello continues the melody amidst pizzicato scenery, like raindrops in an alley. Severe harmonies arise out of the malaise with a sense of violence, finally throwing down the gauntlet at the end with commanding dark chords.
