Henning Dedekind (* December 30, 1562 in Neustadt am Rübenberge; † July 28, 1626 in Gebesee) was a German composer. From his family came many other musicians, poets and composers including his grandson, the composer and poet Constantin Christian Dedekind. Henning Dedekind himself was intially cantor and deacon in Langensalza and took over the rectorate in Gebesee in 1615.
He essentially created vocal works, including a six-part mass,of which only the Kyrie and the Gloria are preserved. In addition, he also wrote works for teaching and educational purposes.
