Sebastián Aguilera de Heredia was appointed organist of Huesca Cathedral in 1585,and in 1603 he became organist of the Seo (=Cathedral) of Saragossa. There he founded an outstanding series of organists; beginning with his pupil Jusepe Ximénez and then the nephew and pupil of the latter, Andrés de Sola who was also from Navarre.
