Sigfrid Walther Müller (* January 11, 1905 in Plauen; † November 2, 1946 in Ming?çevir) was a German composer.
He was born as the son of the teacher Albert Hugo Müller and his wife
Johanna née Hülle in Plauen (Vogtland).
Between the ages of 5 and 12, his father taught him piano playing and music theory.
Müller first attended the ''Realschule'' in Frankenberg, then the ''Real Gymnasium'' in Chemnitz.
Between 1923 and 1926 he was enrolled at the Leipzig Conservatory.
Here he was taught composition by Sigfrid Karg-Elert, piano by Alfred Baresel and conducting by Max Hochkofler.
From 1926 to 1927 he furthered his organ playing with Günther Ramin.

In 1935 he became conductor of the Leipzig Chamber Orchestra and since 1940 he was lecturer
of composition at the Weimar Academy of Music.

At the age of 41 he died as a prisoner of war in the Soviet Union.
