Thomas Täglichsbeck (* December 31, 1799 in Ansbach; † October 5, 1867 in Baden-Baden) was a German violinist, bandmaster, and composer. After initial music lessons from his father, Täglichsbeck came to Munich in his teens to take violin lessons from Pietro Rovelli. In 1817, a mass of his was successfully performed there. In the same year he became a violinist in the orchestra of the ''Isartortheater'', where he was appointed music director at the age of 20. After several stations in Germany, Switzerland and Italy, Täglichsbeck finally became Kapellmeister of the House of Hohenzollern-Hechingen in 1827; the court developed into one of the important musical centers of the time. After further stations in Stuttgart and Löwenberg (Silesia), and temporarily again in Munich and Dresden, Täglichsbeck retired to Baden-Baden in 1866, one year before his death.
His compositions include a "Festive Mass," a setting of Psalm 63, several operas, 2 symphonies, concertos, 3 string quartets, 1 clarinet quartet, 4 violin sonatas, violin duets, piano trios, other chamber music, several song albums, and choral works.
