Not much is known to us about Henry Heron. Even his exact birth and death dates are unknown. In any case, he was born in 1738 in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, southwest of London, played the organ for many years in St. Mary's, Ewell. Later, as he referred to himself in one of his publications, he was "Organist of St .Magnus the Martyr London Bridge," a position he retained until death. However, his principal livelihood, like his father before him was derived as a dance and music teacher. He also gave singing lessons.
