Menken, Alan: Tangled

Part fantasy, part swashbuckling adventure, Tangled is all Disney magic. The tale of Rapunzel and her prodigious plumage is reimagined in this 2010 film. The film was a massive success for the studio, bringing in nearly $600 million. Critics and audiences alike were dazzled by the visuals and story, infused with lots of humor. The filmmakers called upon longtime collaborators Alan Menken and Glenn Slater to pen the songs. The pair wrote the five songs, while Menken alone created the score.
