Guido Kramann : Evenings on the Veranda (version for string quartet)
This is a short piece that I originally wrote for piano, but which should also work well for string quartet.
That's why I transcribed it.
The result is that the cello plays pizzicato throughout and all the other parts are mostly in parallel fourth-sixth chords.
It thrives on the harmonies that arise.
The audio file may sound a little duller than the piece actually is, because I'm just letting my notation program play it.
It can't do dynamics or ritardandi! -- So please try to abstract from that and trust the different timbres that should result when playing live, taking into account the dynamics that have been entered.
